Unpaid requests return HTTP 402 with PAYMENT-REQUIRED. Clients submit x402 v2 payment payloads using PAYMENT-SIGNATURE. Successfully settled responses include PAYMENT-RESPONSE.
The payment scheme is exact USDC settlement on Base mainnet (eip155:8453). Payment verification and settlement are performed through the configured Coinbase CDP facilitator.

## Response semantics

- factual_reporting contains original factual summaries grounded in cited sources.
- keelbase_analysis contains Keelbase public editorial analysis, domain impact, and affected systems.
- source.status distinguishes confirmed facts, announced developments, allegations, proposals, commentary, and unresolved claims.
- assessment contains impact level, confidence, and explicit limitations.
- correction contains supersession and correction lineage.
- Fixture responses explicitly set fixture metadata and warnings.

## Attribution and source rights

- Cite Keelbase Signal when using its original synthesis or structured records.
- Preserve links to the original third-party sources.
- Keelbase Signal does not transfer third-party article, image, paywall, or publisher rights.
- Do not represent Keelbase summaries as verbatim source text.
- Bulk republication, redistribution, or resale requires a separate agreement.

## Corrections

- Material factual changes preserve the original record.
- Superseding records use reciprocal supersedes and superseded_by references.

## Privacy and prohibited data

- Never infer or request private Keelbase Child Vessel records.
- Private Vessel or founder information, internal register IDs, decision IDs, flags, action items, escalation states, confidential architecture, private financial data, wallet keys, signing material, and facilitator credentials are not part of this service.
- Keelbase Signal is a Parent-owned public intelligence surface and does not monetize sovereign Child Vessel information.
